
White Point is one of LA's most popular dive spots. It has white bacteria mats on its bottom and is very close to the hot springs. You will also find an old shipwreck and rock reef at the dive site. Here you will also find giant sea stars, urchins and cold water anemones. High tide is the best day to dive.
Leo Carillo
Leo Carrillo La is a California state parks located along Los Angeles County's southern coast. It is part the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The park has 1.5 miles stretch of beach that extends to the Santa Monica Mountains. Scuba divers can find plenty of opportunities to explore the pristine waters off the coast of Leo Carrillo State Park.
Divers can choose three main dive sites in Leo Carrillo. These dive sites are great for beginners, with easy entry points and plenty of parking. You can also go night diving or lobster hunting at these sites, and you will find lots of marine life.

Santa Barbara Island
Santa Barbara Island boasts some of the best offshore diving sites. To get to these dive spots, visitors can board a visiting vessel. These are excellent hunting and photography areas, and often rocky. These areas also contain healthy kelp plants and purple-colored hydro coral. This area is ideal for Southern California waters because of its excellent visibility.
It is possible to kayak and snorkel on the island. You can even tent camp, if the weather allows. The island is home to a large population of pinnipeds including harbor seals and northern elephant seals as well as California sea lions. Visitors can spot these animals in the rocky areas around the sea lion rookery, which are located at a number of overlooks on the island.
Anacapa Island
Anacapa Island supports a wide variety marine life. One of the United States’ first Marine Protected Areas has been established in this area. The area is great for beginners as well as seasoned divers. The water around the island is relatively warm, making it ideal for wetsuit diving. In the autumn and summer, temperatures can easily reach 70° F (21°C). However, temperatures in winter can fall as low at 50 degrees F (10 degrees Celsius). Using a 7mm wetsuit is recommended. During these months, visibility is usually at least 100 ft (30M).
Dive charter boats and Island Packers can access the Anacapa dive spot. The island has many dive spots, including an arch rock that is 40 feet tall. These sites are also accessible from the sea surface with snorkeling gear.

Veteran's Park
Veteran's Park on Ocean Drive is a Green Space that features a playground and fields. This is a great place for families to spend time together. It is also very close to the beach. On a sunny day, there is a great view of the ocean from the park. The park is open all year and offers a lot of activities.
From the parking lot, it is easy to access. Veteran's Park is the best spot to start your diving journey if you're a novice diver. It's easy to reach with parking and restrooms. The meter will always be checked and there's an outdoor shower where you can wash your gear. A changing area is available in the park, with restrooms being close to dusk.
