There are many reasons to take Nitrox certification courses. Nitrox diving lets you experience the thrills and excitement of enriched oxygen. It also helps you to become more confident as a diver. Many organizations offer certification courses. These courses include the NAUI Enriched Airnitrox Diver (PADI Enriched Air Diver), SSI Adventure Diver (Open Water Diver), and PADI Enriched Air Diver (PADI Enriched Air Diver).
PADI Enriched Air Diver
PADI Enriched Air Divers (EANx) certification is designed for divers who want to improve their diving experience. It includes a short classroom session as well as home study. The EANx course covers the oxygen content of the scuba tank and how to use a scuba oxygen analyser. It also covers standard procedures for recording the oxygen percentage in the tank.
Air divers who have been nitrox-enriched can extend their time underwater without needing to stop often. Because there is less nitrogen in the air mixture, they are safer. Enriched air mixes are also ideal for deeper dives, as they usually have 32% and 36% oxygen.

NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver
An enriched air diver certification is a step in the right direction if you are looking to take your diving to the next level. The course teaches you about blending air, how to safely handle high oxygen concentrations, as well the risks involved. Additionally, you will learn how to operate a diving computer and analyze the contents in your tanks. A standard air dive table will also be covered. You'll also learn about common blending procedures for nitrogen and oxygen.
Enriched air, also known as Nitrox, is a type of breathing gas that contains more oxygen than standard air. You can stay underwater for longer periods of time without having to refill your tank. This is good news for your health, as it alleviates decompression fatigue. Additionally, enriched air divers have shorter surface intervals.
SSI Adventure Diver
SSI, an internationally recognized dive organization, offers the SSI Adventure Diver Nitrox Certification. You will need to have experience, knowledge, skills, and both. You must have completed at minimum 50 dives as well as four specialty courses in order to receive this award.
The SSI Adventure Diver nitrox course teaches students how to dive in low visibility. This course teaches divers how to navigate in darkness, use specialized equipment and communicate with their buddy. After completing the course, divers will be awarded the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver rating and are eligible to receive the SSI Nitrox Specialty certificate.

SSI Open Water Diver
The SSI Open Water Diver certification is internationally recognized. It includes three parts: academic, in-water pool training and multiple open-water diving. You will learn to plan and dive with enriched oxygen mixes of up to 40% oxygen during this course. This can help you increase your bottom time and shorten your surface intervals, and may help you avoid decompression sickness.
PADI and SSI differ in how they handle certifications. PADI certification requires you to buy your manual. An SSI certification does not require you to purchase your manual. Your card is issued directly from the dive centre where you completed your course. You may also be able to use temporary cards from PADI certification centres as proof of your certification.
