The SSI Mermaid certification can be earned on the internet. This allows you to do the certification from wherever you are and whenever you wish. There are two components to the certification. One is the practical part, and one is the online portion. Online certification can be done on a computer, laptop, or smartphone. The SSI App is available for both iOS and Android devices.
JODY PRATT
JODY PRATT (PADI Mermaid Instructor) is a certified SSI Trainer. She started her diving career at a young age and has accumulated many Specialty Instructor Ratings. She is passionate about the water and loves to get back to basics in her open water classes. JODY is also a Technical Rescue Instructor Trainee.
Michelle Forsbrey
Michelle Forsbrey loves the ocean and is a keen surfer. For her rehabilitation, her love of the beach and ocean inspired her to buy a Mermaid Tail. The mermaid-tail drew attention from both children and adults when she was seen in the local hotel swimming pool.
Try Mermaid Experience
You are either a long-time mermaid dreamer or simply curious about the experience, then you're in the right place. SSI offers a Try Mermaid opportunity that allows you swim underwater in mermaid fins. This introductory course is perfect for beginners. This course will teach how to swim safely underwater, use mermaid Fins, and hold your breath underwater. 15 dollars towards your complete certification after completing the Try Mermaid program.
Rusty
Rusty was raised in New Orleans but was born in Atchafalaya Basin. It covers 22 parishes and is the US's largest swamp. Rusty has a deep appreciation of the cajun culture from his time in the swamp. Rusty enjoys swimming, cycling, underwater photography and spending time at home with his family.
Niki
Niki Dawson has been a successful female entrepreneur. She loves to travel and dive in different parts. Micronesia is her favorite spot to dive. Niki loves to travel the world, and she does enjoy diving.
Evi
Evi is a performer and instructor of mermaid swim. Her first mermaid school was opened in March 2018 and has taught hundreds of guppies to swim using her tail. Evi competed with Naomi in the World Mermaid Championship, teaching children how to swim with a Mermaid tail. Evi's goal is to make the water fun and safe for reefs.
