Choosing a Dive Regulator

certified diving

A dive regulator controls the pressure of breathing gas for the diver. Although this is usually the case, regulators can also regulate pressures for other gases that are used while diving. An alternate second stage can be called a dive regulator. The regulator is attached by a cylinder to the diver’s tank. It allows the diver's to breathe underwater.

Scuba regulators

Scuba regulators are an important part of a scuba dive system. They regulate the amount of air delivered to the diver, allowing him or her to breathe comfortably and easily. They can also be used to stop and start air delivery in water. The regulator has a purge button that allows the diver access to the water-filled chamber to release air and clear it if needed.

Alternate Stage

Two distinct components make up a diver's regulator: the primary stage, and the secondary stage. The primary stage delivers air to the diver while the secondary stage replenishes it. You can choose to have a smaller or more powerful alternative stage. The secondary stage can still perform the same functions as the primary one, but it is not as efficient.

Balanced regulator

The balanced dive regulator is an efficient and versatile scuba diving regulator. It delivers oxygen to the diver quickly and efficiently. It is a great choice for all diving environments due to its progressive design and high quality materials.

DIN valves

When choosing a dive resiver, the first thing to look at is the type of valve. Typically, you will find two different types: Yoke valves and DIN valves. A Yoke-valve has an O ring that fits into the tank's first stage valve. An O-ring on a DIN valve fits into a threaded connector on the regulator’s first stage.

Swivel joint hose adaptor

Divers will appreciate the versatility of a swivel-joint hose adaptor to their dive regulator. It helps you route the regulator hose naturally and reduces jaw strain. It also allows you to share air with your buddy. These accessories require little to no maintenance and can be rinsed out after every dive.

Environmentally sealed regulators

There are many choices when it comes to choosing an environmentally sealed dive regulator. These devices are great for anyone who is able to dive in cold water. Among them is their corrosion-resistant design, which can be achieved by using zirconium over brass. In addition, many of these products feature a factory fitted environmental seal and a large purge button. Some come with a limited life warranty.
